Team India decided not go to Pakistan for playing Champion trophy BCCI announce

According to sources who spoke with ANI on Thursday, the Team India cricket team is unlikely to travel to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy.

Pakistan have only played each other in multi-team competitions since 2008. The Asia Cup was held last year in Pakistan, but the eventual champions, Team India were allowed to play all of their matches in Sri Lanka under a hybrid model set by the organizers. India asserted that Pakistan had denied them permission to travel there for the Asia Cup. Pakistan will host the ICC Champions Trophy from February to March 2025. Because of stressed political relations, Team India has not played cricket in Pakistan since the 2008 Asia Cup.

The last respective series between the archrivals was played in India from December 2012 to January 2013. From that point forward, their experiences have been restricted to ICC competitions and the Asia Cups. Pakistan won the ICC Champions Prize 2017 when it was last held. In 2002, India and Sri Lanka were announced joint victors of the ICC Champions Prize after the Match Day and the Hold Day had been cleaned out because of downpour.
