Ambati Rayudu performed brilliantly for India and scored 50 runs in just 30 balls. The Indian team got off to a great start in its pursuit of 157 runs .Openers Robin Uthappa and Ambati Rayudu thrashed the Pakistani bowlers in the powerplay. Rayudu hit a four and a six off Aamir Yamin in the principal over itself.
Yet, Pakistan got back in the game by taking two wickets and excused Rayudu (50 runs in 30 balls) and Gurkeerat Singh Mann (34 runs in 33 balls) in a range of ten balls .Uthappa also continued the attack by hitting two fours off Yamin in the next over. However, he could not continue his innings and was dismissed by the Pakistani bowler in the same over.

But he was caught by Sohail Tanvir on his second ball and India’s score became 38/2. After two setbacks, Rayudu kept his composure and made a crucial partnership of 60 runs with Gurkeerat Singh Mann. The opener completed his half-century in just 29 balls and after 11 overs, India’s score reached 98/2. Now India looked completely in control.
